JAF

Removing himself from the onslaught of pandemic dreariness in Washington state in August of 2020. JAF found himself isolated in a large art studio in Northern Maine, where his fascination with social commentary, religion, pornography, pop culture, and all things sexualized morphed into one.

While isolated, JAF was contacted to do a solo show at Steve Gilberts Gallery in Seattle Washington, for a solo show aptly called "Cock/Paper/Scissors" in October of 2021. This gave him focus and creative fuel.

Several of these pieces were spotlighted in that show. Many of these works have yet to be seen by the public.

Primary work is on paper and canvas, and contains paper relics of things gone by, but yet have a voice in the ever-changing scope of today’s current events.
